How are we suppose to go through the day by day grind of life when nobody cares about you? Why does it feel like everyone is happy except for you? How do we grow and learn from relationships that don't even exist in the first place?
Well, if you can't find love out in the wild, Homemade is fine, too.
This is a short story kinetic visual novel made with assets provided for the Love + Attraction Jam 2025. Special thanks to Nikko for providing the sprites. This was a good practice for writing, and the characters inspired a lot of the story's themes and morals.
Unfortunately, I underestimated the amount of work that goes into finding and editing assets, programming, and putting the project together. As a result I am only able to provide roughly half of the story at time of submission. Within the following weeks I will update the project to include the ending of the story. Thank you for your patience.

GOSH I LOVE THIS!!! spoilers below
the concept is soooooo GOOD!! I love how you wrote/presented his "friends". it kept me guessing of it the text changing was intentional or not - if it was just a bug. but no! the slow reveal that they aren't real was written soooo well... I love how you didn't TELL us that, you SHOWED us! I loved the subtle hints too
in the end MC(do they have a name? I think it was said but I can't find it again...) told us that Mr X. and presumably the rest weren't real but still, it was so satisfying to have my tiny theories be true
yeah yeah that's a really simple thing to obssess over but I don care, I like it!
also that cliffhanger was criminal. I WANT MOAAAR!!
